We begin making our gourmet popcorn by air popping gourmet kernels to produce large fluffy popped corn. The air popping process has a built in "sifting" drum to help remove hulls and smaller undersized corn. The result is a popped corn that is more suited for making caramel corn and gourmet flavors. The air-popped corn is also oil-free and therefore is a "Healthier" piece of popcorn. (Conventional "oil popped" corn uses 8 ounces of coconut oil per batch of caramel and cheese)
